The Life Pursuit Merely Great?

I listened to the *new Belle & Sebastian album*, ‘The Life Pursuit’ about five times now and can’t help but feel it’s merely great — disappointing for the band responsible for some of my favorite pop songs of all time. However, I didn’t like the last album much when I first heard it — and in the end it turned out to be one of their best.
