Week 714

What’s this? I’m blogging about my work on a weekly basis – a simple way to track and archive whatever it is I spend my time on.

Last week I was mostly busy with the TNO publication I wrote about the week before. This week I will still be busy with that, which is why these weeknotes are as short as possible.

It was also Official PlayStation Magazine week. The new issue came in, with the interview I did with Polish demo/game group Team Plastic, and a retro column about driving games, titled The Art of Driving (which in my universe is a nod to the band Black Box Recorder). I also worked on stuff for the next issue: an interview with Matt Gilgenbach of 24 Caret Games, who made backwards rhythm shooter Retro/Grade, and a retro column about tactical RPG’s like Vandal Hearts.

My coverage of TV series / alternate reality game The Spiral continued: I wrote two blog posts, but only the first was published so far.

On Friday, nrc.next published the New Super Mario Bros. 2 review I wrote a while ago, as the Tech spread was moved back to Friday after a one-week Wednesday-stint.

Finally, on Friday afternoon, I visited the Art, Media and Technology faculty of the Utrecht School of the Arts, where I watched and played this years’ graduation projects, which I wrote about for Items.
