Week 729

What’s this? I’m blogging about my work on a weekly basis – a simple way to track and archive whatever it is I spend my time on.

Last week, nrc.next published my review of Zeptolab iOS puzzle game Pudding Monsters. It was intended to accompany the previous week’s Bientôt l’été review, but they sold an ad, so it was understandably bumped. They do kind of balance each other out: Bientôt might be too abstract, Pudding might be too concrete. Judge for yourself!

I also celebrated New Year’s Eve, with my family and two friends, which was nice. I went to the dentist, as I’m sure you’d like to know. And I had dinner with Martijn van der Meulen, who was in the country. Good to catch up!

Finally, I received the last issue of Items Magazine. It contains an article I wrote about Game Over, the classic Nintendo book by David Sheff that inspired me to write about games.

But why am I even writing these weeknotes? I need to finish rewriting my upcoming novel De verdwijners. Only nine chapters to go. I can almost smell the finish line.
