The Arcade Fire

Recently I traded about 4.5 gigs of music for 1.5 gigs of my colleague Mark’s music. That doesn’t sound like a good deal, until I tell you that these 1.5 gigs contained — among other things — an awesome album called ‘Funeral’ by the Canadian band “The Arcade Fire”: It sounds like a mix of, I don’t know, Mercury Rev, Wilco, Sonic Youth and Bloc party, even a bit of Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘Adore’ era “arcane night music”, with the moody synthesizer sounds that I have a soft spot for. I love discovering new music this way.
